With a background as a Display Artist, Signwriter, Wedding Florist and Project Manager I have enjoyed many creative pursuits! None more so than my years of designing kitchens to enable families to have a usable space which is practical and fun to be in.
My own family spend a lot of time in the kitchen, which is part of a large open plan space as many of today's kitchens are. We use our modern day kitchens for meals, homework, paying the bills, children's art pursuits and many more activities. We often don't want to be 'closed off' from the rest of the household but we still want a space that functions well and can cope with entertaining too.
